Legrand | AV Brands Truly Working Together at InfoComm 2019 Part 1

Posted on 5/8/2019 by Legrand AV Team

Part 1 of 3 InfoComm preview blog posts.

InfoComm is upon us once again. If you visited the Legrand | AV booth last year, you noticed several vignettes that showcased how the various brands work together to enhance installations in classrooms, conference rooms and more. This year, we’re going all out with the vignettes in our largest booth yet.

“Why vignettes?” you ask? We want to take an opportunity to show how our brands come together in challenging – real-life – applications to provide cutting-edge solutions that enhance experiences with technology.

Stop by Booth 2500 to take a tour and discover the latest in C2G, Chief, Da-Lite, Luxul, Middle Atlantic, Vaddio and Wiremold solutions. We're debuting 16 new solutions at InfoComm!

For those of you who can’t wait (you know who you are!), here’s a sneak peek of the broadcast, rental and staging, outdoor and retail vignettes and some of what the brands are bringing to the table for each!

Broadcast

Vaddio leads the way in the broadcast vignette with the new RoboSHOT® 40 UHD – a broadcast-quality PTZ camera with 40x zoom, genlock capabilities, silky-smooth motor movement and superior imaging. Using the AV Bridge MatrixMIX Switcher and Teletouch Touch-Screen Multiview allows easy camera control even for volunteers with little training. Luxul’s AV Series 12-Port/8 POE+ Gigabit Managed Switch helps optimize and expand the network with support for Layer 3 static routing between VLANs while also featuring simple-to-use management. Connect up to eight PoE-enabled devices.

Keep an eye on the production by placing your monitor right where you need it with Chief’s Kontour K1D Dynamic Desk Clamp Mount.

Middle Atlantic's SNE Series is a perfect fit for the often hybrid demands of a broadcast venue offering solutions preconfigured for digital, analog or both. Easily pair with thermal management for any environmental requirements.

Rental and Staging

In the need for speed? We have solutions that keep AV on the move and ready to assemble or strike over and over. These solutions are designed to handle the wear and tear over time while still delivering exceptional durability.

Da-Lite has enhanced the Fast-Fold® Deluxe Screen System, a portable projection screen designed to increase set-up and tear-down efficiencies and accommodate all skill levels. Now available with HD Rental, a foldable and optically enhanced screen surface that yields high definition AV experiences.

Test your speed with the PRSU portable flat panel stand from Chief, designed to assemble and strike in seconds. If you’re working with projectors, take a look at the speed connect plates and the new XL Universal Tool-Free Projector Mount. This mount is lighter and slimmer than its predecessor and works well with laser projectors between 50-150 lbs (22.7-68 kg).

Outdoor

Chief’s ceiling and pedestal outdoor wall mounts will be on display along with outdoor charging solutions from Wiremold. Be prepared to weather the weather with the first UL-listed while in use in-ground box that provides permanent power and is always “on.”

 Retail

Retail

Skipping the retail section would be a big mistake. Big. Huge!

Chief has beefed up its offerings for retail digital signage. The cable floor-to-ceiling mount suspends flat panels and includes tilt adjustment features to minimize any need to dangerously tighten the cables. The Impact Floor Standing Portrait Kiosks join the Impact family to provide an aesthetic solution for enclosing displays in open areas. Columns are now in play for adding displays, even structural columns! The structural column adapter can be cut to length in the field and works with Fusion and Thinstall Swing-Arm mounts.

Real estate in retail can be pricy. Get the most out of every inch! Da-Lite’s FullVision is a border-less fixed frame projection screen that enables the entire surface to be used for projection. Available with 16K-ready HD Progressive screen surfaces.

Middle Atlantic’s DWR series wall cabinets keep AV systems secure. This pivoting, sectional wall cabinet provides easy rear access while keeping floor areas clear.

What else?

If you liked the TiLED LED Mounting System from Chief last year, we’re happy to bring in more solutions that work with Samsung, Absen, Unilumin, LG and Leyard systems (more to come!). Take a look at how modular design can create eye-catching LED video walls.

Thinking Cap Time

All brands will be holding manufacturer trainings on a wide range of AV topics like: Designing Huddle Spaces for Accessibility, Power Principles 101, Active Learning Spaces in Higher Education, AP over IP and more. Each session is taught by a Legrand | AV expert. See the list here for class, times, dates, credit information and direct links to register. See you there!

As always, AV University is open for online training on your own time for free industry credits.

Our own Nathan Bohl is also co-instructing a three-day course on Design Thinking the weekend before InfoComm. Get an in-depth look at a design process that involves users, encourages ideation and prototyping to discover an ideal solution.

THAT’S NOT ALL?!

You got that right. There’s post two and three to cover more vignettes than we could put into one blog without feeling like new-product bullies. Even with three blog posts, we cover half the solutions we’ll have on display at Booth 2500, so make it a Must See on your list. See you at the show!
