Part 2 of 3 InfoComm preview blog posts.

Welcome to part two of our three-part blog series on what you can expect to see in the Legrand | AV booth at InfoComm.

Stop by Booth 2500 and grab some free coffee to take a tour and discover the latest in C2G, Chief, Da-Lite, Luxul, Middle Atlantic, Vaddio and Wiremold solutions.

For those of you who can’t wait (you know who you are!), here’s a sneak peek of the education, large venue and lounge vignettes and some of what the brands are bringing to the table for each!

Large Venue

Big areas require BIG solutions. We’re talking auditoriums, house of worship, stadiums and more. We’ll have fan favorites and new products on display in the Large Venue vignette. Front and center is Da-Lite’s Wireline™ Advantage® with Parallax® Stratos 1.0. Wireline, which suspends the screen with two thin cables that minimize aesthetic disruption. Parallax Stratos 1.0 is Da-Lite’s latest ambient light rejection solution available in tensioned electric and fixed frame screens to accommodate large scale installations.

Keeping that large venue projector safe from flying volleyballs or other objects is a job for Chief’s Large Venue Projector Guard. Telescoping front and back panels accommodate depths from 22-27” (559 – 685 mm). The PG4A can even be retrofitted to existing installations without disturbing projector alignment.

Middle Atlantic’s SR Series Wall Rack offers all the high capacity and space savings you love from the industry’s only seismic certified wall rack in a NEW width designed to support high density cabling. A generous 28” usable width for ample space on either side of the cabinet allows for proper dressing, organization and management of high density cabling.

Auditoriums and large lecture halls will benefit from Vaddio’s RoboTRAK Presenter Tracking System. The IR lanyard-based tracking provides smooth, accurate panning and tilting motion that follows the instructor all over the classroom.

Classroom

Active learning pedagogy continues to take hold in the classroom, and it places technology at its core. Empower students and instructors alike with access to the latest gadgets and tools at their fingertips. We’re fueling this trend with solutions to enhance education and keep class on track.

The Large Fusion Dynamic Height Adjustable Mobile Cart from Chief is ideal for interactive displays. Smooth and fast height adjustment makes technology accessible for every student. Be sure to look up for the SYSAU Suspended Ceiling Projector System that cuts installation time by one-third and includes everything needed to complete the majority of installations.

If you are using interactive projection technology, nothing works better than Da-Lite’s IDEA™ screen. Its durability, surface uniformity and rigidity ensures a superior interactive experience. The erasable surface is hotspot-free under projection.

Are time and space your enemies? No problem with DescenderPro. Its compact housing is up to 1/3 smaller than similar electric screens for easy installation in tight spaces. It’s the first Da-Lite ceiling recessed screen to be stocked and available for immediate shipment.

When you need the ability to show students a document or a particularly hard to see technique, Vaddio’s DocCAM 20 HDBT is your eye in the sky. This high definition, recessed in-ceiling document camera comes with 20x optical zoom and simultaneous HDBaseT and IP H.264 streaming. Pair with the OneLINK HDMI receiver to extend power, video and control to your camera over a single Cat-5e cable up to 328 ft. (100 m).

Keeping equipment local to the classroom, secure from prying students and out of the teacher’s way has always been a challenge in these spaces. Middle Atlantic’s VWM series is a low profile wall mount rack that features multiple planes of vertical mounting to allow deeper equipment to be mounted parallel to the wall.

Lounges

We’ve only virtually walked around this booth, but I can tell you can use a breather. Stop by either of our lounges where you can take a break while still checking out some great solutions.

Da-Lite’s Parallax Pure 2.3 on a thin fixed frame screen will be on display. This ambient light rejecting surface delivers bright images when paired with lower output projectors as well as laser projectors. Get the picture clarity and resolution you want out of your projector regardless of ambient light conditions.

The furniture in the lounge showcases Wiremold’s seamless power and charging solutions for commercial interiors. Keep power in reach without sacrificing aesthetics.

Middle Atlantics latest credenza – the C3 Series - can also be found in the lounge. The new 10” deep, ADA compliant series displays modern contrasted finishes with versatile rackmount and small device storage options. Each credenza comes with power and thermal management built in.

If you are looking for electric height adjustment capabilities for interactive flat panels, be sure to try the XL Electric Height Adjust Wall Mount from Chief. This can hold 50-80 inch flat panels up to 310 lbs (140.6 kg) and provides 26” (660 mm) of vertical lift.

Thinking Cap Time

All brands will be holding manufacturer trainings on a wide range of AV topics like: Designing Huddle Spaces for Accessibility, Power Principles 101, Active Learning Spaces in Higher Education, AP over IP and more. Each session is taught by a Legrand | AV expert. See the list here for class, times, dates, credit information and direct links to register. See you there!

As always, AV University is open for online training on your own time for free industry credits.

Our own Nathan Bohl is also co-instructing a three-day course on Design Thinking the weekend before InfoComm. Get an in-depth look at a design process that involves users, encourages ideation and prototyping to discover an ideal solution.

THAT’S NOT ALL?!

You got that right. There’s post one and three to cover more vignettes than we could put into one blog without feeling like new-product bullies. Even with three blog posts, we cover half the solutions we’ll have on display at Booth 2500, so make it a Must See on your list. See you at the show!
