SightLine Floating Projection Screens

A Cable Drop That Will Make Your Jaw Drop

SightLine Floating Projection Screen Technology

The latest innovation in projection screen design is here. Our most popular electric screens now feature SightLine technology, a new cable drop option that gives the impression of a floating screen.

Instead of the traditional black drop, screens with SightLine are suspended by slim, sleek cables that help preserve the architecture of the space. The screen virtually floats in the room and completely disappears when not in use.

This makes SightLine ideal for today’s hybrid applications where office room environments are not solely dedicated to one single presentation, meeting room or video conferencing application.

SightLine is now available for the following products:

Keep Your SightLines with Floating Screen Technology

Screens with SightLine replace the standard black border above the projection area with 3 or 4 thin cables, resulting in a simply stunning floating screen display.

Gone are the days when the only option was a black drop that blocked the space above the projection screen. The SightLine cable drop extends up 70”/180 cm, depending on your needs, and leaves the area between the ceiling and screen exposed for an enhanced aesthetic. Drop the projection screen to the height you need while preserving the look of the room, the way the architect intended.

SightLine solutions are great for:

  • Boardrooms
  • Large conference rooms or multi-purpose spaces
  • Rec rooms
  • Home theaters
  • Small lecture halls

21:9 Ultrawide Format with SightLine Feature

Ultrawide format is quickly becoming the standard for displaying hybrid video conferencing solutions, where all attendees, whether they are in person or virtual, are equitably seen and heard. The format lends itself to conferencing software that places participants in an even row with plenty of room left over for a presentation space, live chat, and ancillary data that aren't constrained or divided by bezels. The ultrawide 21:9 aspect ratio also opens more options for camera placement above the streaming content.

Da-Lite offers a complete line of electric and fixed frame screens in 21:9 Ultrawide Format standard part numbers. Check them out here!

Simplified Screen Ordering and and Future-Proof Room Planning

SightLine makes it easier than ever to order and install a screen. The cable drop extends any length up to 70”/180 cm, eliminating the need to calculate black drop ahead of time. Just order the screen with the SightLine feature, and you’re on your way.

Once onsite, the drop distance is easily programmed to any height using the wall switch. After this, the screen will deploy to the same height each time. You can make changes as needed. And if future projector technology requires a different viewing height, SightLine easily accommodates a quick change to the position of the projection area.
