Chief Rolling Out New Series of Mounts for Safe Entry

One day, we’ll be able to leave Zoom and Teams meetings behind. We’ll go back to the office and see friends and colleagues we’ve only seen in two dimensions for many months. To get to that day, there’s still some work to do. Just ask anyone who has already been working the front lines during the pandemic or continuing to provide essential in-person services for employers.

Businesses and organizations will have to adapt lobbies and entryways for new screening processes. This could require additional staff and time to administer surveys, check temperatures, direct traffic and more. Luckily, we have AV to assist us!

Chief is helping to make public safety easier and safer with a new series of mounting solutions specifically designed to allow spaces to better follow health protocols.

Floor and table top Tablet Stands support safe entry and navigation through public spaces. Pair them with a temperature-screening device and you have a complete solution for peace of mind for individuals entering a business, workplace, school or any other gathering place.

The stands can support column-mounted tablets or those with 75 x 75mm or 100 x 100mm VESA patterns. Displays can be tilted to adjust to a range of user heights. They can also be bolted down to surfaces for additional stability and security.

The printer shelf accessory (compatible with Brother® TD2020 printers) provides a touch free way to conveniently print confirmations, badges, stickers and more.

Soft aesthetics allow the mounts to match a range of spaces, and space in the column keeps cables out of the way. The floor stand can also be customized with a tablet accessory to provide extra signage space for other messaging about protocols, current occupancy data and other reminders to help keep the space safe for guests.

“We designed these mounts for affordability. This helps with large rollouts as businesses start to raise capacity,” said Chief Product Manager Tony Caruso “They also instill confidence by showing guests how the business or organization is helping to keep them as safe as possible.”

Additional mounting solutions are being developed for wheelchair accessibility and wall mounting.

Health protocol solutions are just one way Chief is approaching digital signage to address COVID-19. The digital signage team is ready to assist with project design, site surveys, and engineering support.

Now’s the time to start planning for that day to come, when we can safely meet each other in real life rather than on a screen.
