Chief had a great time at DSE this year. We packed the booth with new menu board mounts, vertical and portrait projector mounts, solutions powered with Ametek and we introduced a new way to customize your digital signage with the Fusion Modular Series.

In case you weren’t able to make it, or need a reminder of what you saw, here’s a brief rundown of what we had on hand.

Menu Board Wall Mounts

The LWM Fusion Menu Board Wall Mounts join a robust line of ceiling mounted solutions to execute any digital menu board application.

The new mounts offer perfect display positioning and flexible adjustments. The single horizontal extrusion with depth adjustment aligns displays quickly, even on irregular mounting surfaces. The mount allows for easy access behind the displays for servicing and storing media players.

Each menu board mount uses two or three wall plates to minimize drilling time, especially on difficult substrates.

Vertical/Portrait Projector Mount

The VPAU Vertical and Portrait Projector Mount allows designers to safely add vertical or portrait projection solutions to plans.

Lamp projectors required the cooling system to be oriented a precise way to keep from overheating. LED and laser projectors, however, have the capability of keeping cool no mater what direction they are facing.

“Solid state illumination projectors are a growing market,” said Luke Westin, Product Manager. “And they can be oriented in any direction for new visual effects in digital signage.”

Fusion Modular Series

Introduced at DSE for the first time, the Fusion Modular Series utilizes common components of Fusion multi-display mounts and a new online configurator to give customers the ability to build and order the parts necessary to meet their exact digital signage application requirements.

“We have 59 SKUs for multi-display ceiling, wall and floor mounted solutions, but customers wanted more flexibility to be creative, to work outside ‘standard’,” said Kathryn Gaskell, Product Manager. “With this new Modular Series and configurator, they will be able to input the number of displays, display model and configuration details and the tool creates a list of all the parts needed to build it.”

Customers will be able to buy the pieces of Fusion needed to create menu boards to order. The tool will provide the user with the correct length of extrusion as well as the number and type of interface brackets and wall plates. The first phase will include Fusion wall menu boards, with ceiling menu board options this summer.

Powered Solutions

Chief has partnered with Ametek® to create a new line of solutions exclusive to the Chief brand. The partnership brings non-sacrificial surge protection technology, power and filtering to Chief infrastructure products and projector mount kits to create a unified AV solution.

“Beyond simplified, one-SKU ordering, bringing power integration to the AV side of the install increases revenue opportunities for dealers,” said Gina Schneider, Product Manager at Chief. “I love the pairing of these two companies that are experts in their AV fields coming together to make life easier for our customers.”

Chief has long had a close relationship with Ametek – the provider of its non-sacrificial rack accessories. This new partnership deepens the connection between the two companies and opens the potential for new solutions that span the Milestone family of brands.

Thank you for choosing Chief!
