Warranty Information for Legrand AV Brands 

What is your Return Authorization Policy?

Chief

All merchandise returned to Chief must be returned with prior authorization and a Return Authorization number provided by Customer Service. Defective or product received incorrectly due to an error on Chief's part will be credited to your account in full. In situations where the dealer needs to return merchandise due to a change in its project/equipment or due to ordering incorrectly, a restock charge will apply as follows. Merchandise invoiced in the past 0-30 days - 10%; 31-60 days - 15%; 61-90 days - 25%. Reduced fees may be given for an accompanying reorder of equal or greater value. Returns are not allowed for merchandise over 90 days old; electrical lift products; special order products, or discontinued merchandise. Products returned that are damaged or missing parts will not be eligible for credit unless they can easily be made saleable. Additional charges for parts and labor may apply.

Your business is important to us, so we are committed to meet or exceed your project requirements.

Please note, all merchandise returned to Da-Lite must have received formal pre-return authorization, including a return authorization number and shipping instructions provided by Customer Care. In situations where the dealer needs to return merchandise due to a change in its project and equipment scope or erroneous ordering, a restock charge will apply as outlined below.

Any merchandise return, within 90-days from the invoice date, is subject to a restocking fee as follows:

  • 15% for standard product
  • 25% for custom product (ex. case color, additional black drop, custom viewing area)
  • 50% for Design Center (exclusive sizing/projects)
  • 50% wood product

Any merchandise return, post-90 days from invoice date, requires written authorization. Returns for merchandise over 120 days from invoice date are ineligible to receive credit.

Any deviation from the instructions outlined above may result in zero credit applied. Please contact Customer Care at 1.800.622.3737 for additional information.

Luxul

All products returned to LUXUL for warranty service must be accompanied by a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number. This number is necessary so that the factory can ensure proper tracking and handling of returned items. If you do not have an RMA number, LUXUL reserves the right to refuse receipt of returned items. For support and/or to obtain an RMA number, call 801-822-5450 osend emailYour product will be repaired or replaced according to the applicable warranty guidelines.

 

Are Chief products covered under a warranty?

LIMITED WARRANTY ON CHIEF NON-ELECTRICAL PRODUCTS

Legrand AV Inc., maker of Chief® branded products (“Chief”), warrants to the original purchaser that each Chief non-electrical product (“Product(s)”) will be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of ten (10) years from the date the Product was invoiced by Chief. Because Chief cannot control the quality of products sold by unauthorized sellers, this limited warranty on Chief non-electrical Products applies only to Products that were purchased from a Chief authorized seller, unless otherwise prohibited by law. Chief Products are legitimately sold only by authorized sellers that are required to follow Chief’s policies, procedures, and quality control standards. Chief reserves the right to reject warranty claims from purchasers for Products purchased from unauthorized sellers, including unauthorized Internet sites.

LIMITED WARRANTY ON CHIEF ELECTRICAL PRODUCTS

Legrand AV Inc., maker of Chief® branded products (“Chief”), warrants to the original purchaser that Chief electrical mechanisms (such as lift products) (“Product(s)”) will be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date the Product was invoiced from Chief. Because Chief cannot control the quality of products sold by unauthorized sellers, this limited warranty on Chief electrical Products applies only to Products that were purchased from a Chief authorized seller, unless otherwise prohibited by law. Chief Products are legitimately sold only by authorized sellers that are required to follow Chief’s policies, procedures, and quality control standards. Chief reserves the right to reject warranty claims from purchasers for Products purchased from unauthorized sellers, including unauthorized Internet sites.

EXCLUSIONS: These limited warranties do not cover any defects due to normal wear and tear, damage due to misuse, alteration to the Product, or negligence. These limited warranties shall not apply to:

  • Any Product in which the defects or damage to the Product result from use of repairs, parts or accessories not approved, made or supplied by Chief.

  • Any Product having a defect or damage caused by improper installation and/or installations over the specified weight capacity, or incorrect voltage connection.

  • All electrical mechanism Products are intended for indoor use only and any Chief electrical mechanism Product showing failure to comply with this instruction or other evidence of outdoor use will not be covered by these warranties.

  • Any Product that was purchased from an unauthorized seller.

These limited warranties extend only to the original purchaser and are not transferable. Therefore, no transferee is eligible for coverage under these warranties.

REMEDIES: If a claim is made under these limited warranties and, after investigation by Chief, proves to be valid, Chief will, at its sole option, either repair or replace the defective Product(s) at no charge.

WARRANTY SERVICE: Any Chief Product believed to be defective as covered by these warranties may not be returned for warranty service without prior authorization from Chief. Purchasers who wish to make a warranty claim based upon a manufacturing defect should contact Customer Service at 1-800-582-6480 for warranty service assistance and to obtain a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number. When you contact Customer Service, please be prepared to provide the following information:

  • Date and location of Product purchase

  • Product model number

  • Product serial number

  • Detailed description of any claimed failure or defect

  • A dated proof of purchase from the Chief authorized seller from which the Product was purchased to verify warranty eligibility

Please note that the purchaser is responsible for returning the Product to Chief Manufacturing via prepaid shipping. Chief will not be responsible for damage to Chief Products caused by failure to properly package the Product for return to Chief or for damage caused by carriers during shipment to or from Chief.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES WHICH EXTEND BEYOND THOSE STATED HEREIN. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES THAT MAY BE APPLICABLE TO PRODUCTS, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS WARRANTY. Are Da-Lite products covered under a warranty?

LIMITED WARRANTY ON DA-LITE PRESENTATION PRODUCTS

Legrand AV Inc., maker of Da-Lite® branded products (“Da-Lite”), warrants to the original purchaser that certain Da-Lite products listed below (“Product(s)”) will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase (“Warranty Period”). Because Da-Lite cannot control the quality of products sold by unauthorized sellers, this one-year limited warranty applies only to Products that were purchased from a Da-Lite authorized seller, unless otherwise prohibited by law. Da-Lite Products are legitimately sold only by authorized sellers that are required to follow Da-Lite’s policies, procedures, and quality control standards. Da-Lite reserves the right to reject warranty claims from purchasers for Products purchased from unauthorized sellers, including unauthorized Internet sites.

This Limited Warranty applies to the following Products:

Because Da-Lite cannot control the quality of products sold by unauthorized sellers, this five-year limited warranty applies only to Products that were purchased from a Da-Lite authorized seller, unless otherwise prohibited by law. Da-Lite Products are legitimately sold only by authorized sellers that are required to follow Da-Lite’s policies, procedures, and quality control standards. Da-Lite reserves the right to reject warranty claims from purchasers for Products purchased from unauthorized sellers, including unauthorized Internet sites.

This Limited Warranty applies to the following Products:

Wireline Advantage®, Tensioned Advantage Series, Advantage Series, Tensioned DescenderPro, DescenderPro, Tensioned Conference, Tensioned Professional, Professional, Da-Lift Projector Lifts, Tensioned Contour®, Contour, Tensioned Cosmopolitan® Series, Cosmopolitan Series, Designer Contour, Tensioned Designer Contour Series, Slimline, Studio, Arena, Motorized Scenic Roller, Ascender, Parallax®, Parallax Thin, FullVision, UTB Contour, Cinema Contour, Da-Snap, Perm-Wall, Imager, IDEA™ Screen, IDEA Panoramic, Fast-Fold® Deluxe, Fast-Fold Deluxe Drapery Kits, Flex Plex, Da-Glas, Da-Plex Rear Projection Mirror System, and Holo Screen.

EXCLUSIONS: These limited warranties do not cover any defects due to normal wear and tear, damage due to misuse, alteration to the Product, or negligence. These limited warranties shall not apply to:

  • Any Da-Lite Product showing evidence of misuse, abuse or accidental damage.

  • Any Da-Lite Product in which the defects or damage to the Da-Lite Product result from use of repairs, parts or accessories not approved, made or supplied by Da-Lite.

  • Any Da-Lite Product having a defect or damage caused by operation not in accordance with Da-Lite’s written instructions.

  • Any Da-Lite Product having a defect or damage due to improper handling or treatment following shipment from Da-Lite.

  • Any Da-Lite Product that was purchased from an unauthorized seller.

These limited warranties extend only to the original purchaser and are not transferable. Therefore, no transferee is eligible for coverage under these warranties.

REMEDIES: If a claim is made under these limited warranties and, after investigation by Da-Lite, proves to be valid, Da-Lite will, at its sole option, either repair or to replace the defective Product (or part thereof). Except as expressly provided in these warranties, DA-LITE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR EXPENSES OR DAMAGES RESULTING FROM INTERRUPTION IN OPERATION OF EQUIPMENT, OR FOR INCIDENTAL, DIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY NATURE.

WARRANTY SERVICE: Any Da-Lite Product believed to be defective as covered by these warranties may not be returned for warranty service without prior authorization from Da-Lite. Purchasers who wish to make a warranty claim based upon a manufacturing defect should return the Product to the Da-Lite authorized seller from which the Product was purchased within the applicable Warranty Period to obtain warranty service. The Da-Lite authorized seller will be responsible for facilitating the service of Products under warranty with Da-Lite. Please note, if it is necessary for the seller to return the Product or Product part to Da-Lite, transportation expenses to and from Da-Lite are payable by the purchaser and Da-Lite is not responsible for damage in shipment. To protect against damage or loss in transit, it is recommended that the purchaser insure the Product and prepay all transportation expenses.

In the event that you are unable to return the Product to the Da-Lite authorized seller from which the Product was purchased, you may contact Customer Care at 3100 North Detroit Street, Warsaw, IN 46582, (866) 977-3901, for warranty service assistance and to obtain a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number. When you contact Customer Care, please be prepared to provide the following information:

  • Date and location of Product purchase

  • Product model number

  • Product serial number

  • Detailed description of any claimed failure or defect

  • A dated proof of purchase from the Da-Lite authorized seller from which the Product was purchased to verify warranty eligibility

Please note that the purchaser will be responsible for costs incurred in shipment to Da-Lite. Da-Lite will cover the cost of return shipping. Da-Lite is not responsible for damage in shipment.

Are Luxul products covered under a warranty?

LIMITED WARRANTY ON LUXUL PRODUCTS

Legrand AV Inc., maker of LuxulTM branded products (“LUXUL”), warrants to the original purchaser (“Buyer”) that Luxul Routers, Switches and Access Points purchased after January 1, 2015 (“Product(s)”) will be free of defects in workmanship and materials under normal use for a period of thirty-six (36) months from the date of purchase, unless otherwise provided by LUXUL in writing. Because LUXUL cannot control the quality of products sold by unauthorized sellers, this warranty applies only to Products that were purchased from a LUXUL authorized seller, unless otherwise prohibited by law. LUXUL Products are legitimately sold only by authorized sellers that are required to follow LUXUL’s policies, procedures, and quality control standards. LUXUL reserves the right to reject warranty claims from purchasers for Products purchased from unauthorized sellers, including unauthorized Internet sites.

If a claim is made under this limited warranty and, after investigation by LUXUL, proves to be valid, LUXUL will, at its sole option, either repair or replace the defective hardware Product(s) on a "return to service depot" basis. Products returned for warranty service may be repaired or re-manufactured with parts, components, or sub-assemblies that originate from returned Products and that have been tested as meeting applicable specifications for equivalent new material and Products. No charge will be made to Buyer for replacement parts used for warranty repairs. Please note that LUXUL is not responsible for any damage to or loss of any software programs, data or removable data storage media, or the restoration or reinstallation of any software programs or data other than the software, if any, installed by LUXUL during manufacture of the Product.

Exclusions from Warranty

This limited warranty does not cover any defects due to normal wear and tear, damage due to misuse, alteration to the Product, or negligence. This limited warranty shall not apply to:

  • Any Product in which the defects or damage to the Product result from improper storage, water or other liquids, or battery leakage.

  • Any Product in which the defects or damage to the Product result from use of repairs, parts or accessories not approved, made or supplied by LUXUL, or failure to perform operator handling and scheduled maintenance instructions supplied by LUXUL.

  • Any Product which has been subjected to unusual physical or electrical stress, abuse, accident, forces or exposure beyond normal use within the specified operational and environmental parameters set forth in the applicable Product specification.

  • Any Product that is determined by LUXUL to have failed due to improper use or handling of Product, such as connecting or disconnecting of antennas to amplifiers or other devices while connected to live power.

  • Any Product that was purchased from an unauthorized seller.

Any expendable or consumable items, such as batteries, supplied with the Product are also exempt from coverage under this limited warranty. Furthermore, please note that warranty provisions and durations on software, integrated installed systems, Product modified or designed to meet specific Buyer specifications ("Custom Products"), re-manufactured Products, and reconditioned or upgraded Products, shall be as provided in the particular Product documentation in effect at the time of purchase or in the accompanying software license. This limited warranty extends only to the original purchaser and is not transferable. Therefore, no transferee is eligible for coverage under this limited warranty.

Return Material Authorizations

All Products returned to LUXUL for warranty service must be accompanied by a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number. This number is necessary so that the factory can ensure proper tracking and handling of returned items. If you do not have an RMA number, LUXUL reserves the right to refuse receipt of returned Products.

For warranty service assistance and to obtain an RMA number, contact LUXUL’s support team at 1(801) 822-5450 or email. When you contact LUXUL’s support team, please be sure to have the following information ready:

  • Date and location of Product purchase

  • Product model number

  • Product Serial number

  • Detailed description of the problem

  • Details about recent configuration changes or changes to your network

LUXUL reserves the right to request other information and evidence (such as a dated proof of purchase from LUXUL or the LUXUL authorized seller from which the Product was purchased) reasonably required to verify warranty eligibility.

Please note that Buyer is responsible for shipment to LUXUL and assumes all costs and risks associated with this transportation; return shipment to Buyer will be at LUXUL’s expense. Buyer shall be responsible for return shipment charges for Product returned where LUXUL determines there is no defect (“No Defect Found”), or for Product returned that LUXUL determines is not eligible for warranty repair.

Limitation of Liability

THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES WHICH EXTEND BEYOND THOSE STATED HEREIN. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES THAT MAY BE APPLICABLE TO PRODUCTS, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS WARRANTY. Are MIDDLE ATLANTIC products covered under a warranty?

LIMITED WARRANTY ON MIDDLE ATLANTIC PRODUCTS

Legrand AV Inc., maker of Middle Atlantic® branded products (“Middle Atlantic”) warrants to the original purchaser (the “Purchaser”) that certain Middle Atlantic products (“Product(s)”) will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and regular service and maintenance for the time frames listed below (the “Applicable Warranty Period(s)”), which Applicable Warranty Period shall begin on the date of original purchase. Because Middle Atlantic cannot control the quality of products sold by unauthorized sellers, this limited warranty applies only to Products that were purchased from a Middle Atlantic authorized seller, unless otherwise prohibited by law. Middle Atlantic Products are legitimately sold only by authorized sellers that are required to follow Middle Atlantic’s policies, procedures, and quality control standards. Middle Atlantic reserves the right to reject warranty claims from Purchasers for Products purchased from unauthorized sellers, including unauthorized Internet sites.

EXCLUSIONS FROM WARRANTY: These limited warranties do not cover any defects due to normal wear and tear, damage due to misuse, alteration to the Product, or negligence. These limited warranties shall not apply to:

  • Any Product showing evidence of misuse, abuse or accidental damage.

  • Any Product having a defect or damage due to unauthorized modification or alteration, use beyond rated capacity, or improper installation, maintenance or application.

  • Any Product that was purchased from an unauthorized seller.

  • These limited warranties extend only to the original purchaser and are not transferable. Therefore, no transferee is eligible for coverage under these warranties.

Additional Limitations and Exclusions for Wood Products: The limited warranty applicable to Middle Atlantic furniture and other wood Products is limited to normal single shift use and generally accepted care and maintenance of natural wood products and environments. Natural wood surfaces are subject to denting, scratching, and gauging if not properly used and cared for. Therefore, the limited warranty applicable to Middle Atlantic furniture and other wood Products is also subject to use and care in accordance with the use and care instructions provided with Product at the time of shipment. In addition to the general Exclusions from Warranty described above, the limited warranty applicable to furniture and other wood Products also shall not apply to:

  • Damage identified as carrier or installer related.

  • Normal wear and tear of wood products during course of ownership.

  • Color, grain or texture of natural wood material, laminates, and other covering materials.

  • Damages or failures resulting from misuse, abuse, negligence, improper care, modifications, or relocations.

  • So-called “ghost” indentions and similar damage caused by the failure to use appropriate desk or writing pads.

Concealed Freight Damage: It is the responsibility of the Purchaser to open and inspect the Products immediately upon delivery. Occasionally Products can be damaged during shipment even though the shipping cartons appear to be in good condition. If at the time of delivery the Products fail to comply with the limited warranties provided hereunder, the Purchaser shall promptly provide notice to Middle Atlantic of such failure. Under no circumstances shall the Purchaser install damaged or defective Products if claims are to be made with respect to such Products. Any claim under these limited warranties shall conclusively be deemed waived and released by the Purchaser unless for any defects discoverable upon inspection at the time of delivery, written notice of such defects is given to Middle Atlantic within thirty (30) days after delivery of the Product.

REMEDIES: If a claim is made under these limited warranties and, after investigation by Middle Atlantic, proves to be valid, Middle Atlantic will, at its sole option, either repair or replace a defective Product or will refund the purchase price of the Product. Determination of the suitability of the Products for the use contemplated by the Purchaser is the sole responsibility of the Purchaser, and Middle Atlantic shall have no responsibility in connection with such suitability.

WARRANTY SERVICE: Any Middle Atlantic Product believed to be defective as covered by these warranties may not be returned for warranty service without prior written authorization from Middle Atlantic. Purchasers who wish to make a warranty claim based upon a Product defect should contact Customer Service at 1(800) 266-7225 or via email at av.middleatlantic.returns@legrand.com to for warranty service assistance and to obtain a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number. When you contact Customer Service, please be prepared to provide the following information:

  • Date and location of Product purchase

  • Product model number

  • Product serial number

  • Detailed description of any claimed failure or defect

  • A dated proof of purchase from the Middle Atlantic authorized seller from which the Product was purchased to verify warranty eligibility

Please note that the Purchaser is responsible for expenses incurred in shipment to Middle Atlantic. Middle Atlantic will cover the cost of return shipping. Please note that Middle Atlantic is not responsible for damage to Middle Atlantic Products caused by failure to properly package the Product for return to Middle Atlantic or for damage caused by carriers during shipment to or from Middle Atlantic.

Are SANUS products covered under a warranty?

LIMITED WARRANTY ON SANUS PRODUCTS

Legrand AV Inc., maker of SANUS® branded products (“SANUS”) warrants to the original purchaser that the SANUS products listed below (“Product(s)”) will be free of defects in material and workmanship under normal use for the time frames listed below, commencing on the original purchase date of the Product (“Warranty Period”). Because SANUS cannot control the quality of products sold by unauthorized sellers, these limited warranties apply only to SANUS Products that were purchased from a SANUS authorized seller, unless otherwise prohibited by law. SANUS Products are legitimately sold only by authorized sellers that are required to follow SANUS policies, procedures, and quality control standards. SANUS reserves the right to reject warranty claims from purchasers for Products purchased from unauthorized sellers, including unauthorized Internet sites.

The applicable Warranty Periods for SANUS Products are as follows:

  • Ten (10) years from the date of purchase for metal video monitor mounts; all racks and non-electrical rack accessories

  • Five (5) years from the date of purchase for plastic speaker mounts; all speaker stands; all furniture; all wood (MDF) accessories

  • One (1) year from the date of purchase for all motorized and/or automated Products

EXCLUSIONS: This limited warranty does not cover any defects due to normal wear and tear, damage due to misuse, alteration to the Product, or negligence. This limited warranty is automatically void if your SANUS Product is improperly installed, taxed beyond its stated weight capacity or otherwise misused or abused. This warranty also does not cover SANUS Products that have defects or damage to the SANUS Product that are the result of use of repairs, parts or accessories not approved, made or supplied by SANUS. All SANUS Products are intended for indoor use only and any outdoor use voids this limited warranty (unless such Product was explicitly marked by Sanus as appropriate for outdoor use). The limited warranty for wall and ceiling mounts is void if the mount is moved from its initial installation. Any SANUS Product that was purchased from an unauthorized seller is not covered by this limited warranty. Because this limited warranty extends only to the original purchaser, no transferee is eligible for coverage under this warranty.

REMEDIES: If a claim is made under this limited warranty and, after investigation by SANUS, proves to be valid, SANUS will replace any defective Product part free of charge. If, after investigation, SANUS confirms the Product is under warranty, we will ship replacement parts to you within 72 hours. Please note that SANUS shall not be obligated or liable for labor or other costs related to removing and replacing defective parts from your SANUS Product. So, if your problem requires a repair technician, you must pay any labor charges.

WARRANTY SERVICE: Purchasers who wish to make a warranty claim based upon a manufacturing defect should call SANUS at 1-800-359-5520. Please note that you will be required to provide a description of any claimed defect(s) and a dated proof of purchase from the SAUNUS authorized seller from which the Product was purchased to verify warranty eligibility. SANUS reserves the right to request other information and evidence reasonably required by to verify warranty eligibility. If, after investigation, SANUS confirms the Product is under warranty, the remedy will be performed by SANUS in accordance with the above heading, “Remedies.”

Are Vaddio products covered under a Warranty?

LIMITED WARRANTY ON VADDIO HARDWARE PRODUCTS

Legrand AV Inc., maker of Vaddio® branded products (“Vaddio”), warrants to the original purchaser that all Vaddio manufactured products (“Product(s)”) will be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of three (3) years from the date of purchase. Because Vaddio cannot control the quality of products sold by unauthorized sellers, this warranty applies only to Products that were purchased from a Vaddio authorized seller, unless otherwise prohibited by law. Vaddio Products are legitimately sold only by authorized sellers that are required to follow Vaddio’s policies, procedures, and quality control standards. Vaddio reserves the right to reject warranty claims from purchasers for Products purchased from unauthorized sellers, including unauthorized Internet sites.

EXCLUSIONS: This limited warranty does not cover any defects due to normal wear and tear, damage due to misuse, alteration to the Product, or negligence. This limited warranty shall not apply to:

  • Any Product having defects or damage resulting from improper or inadequate maintenance by the customer.

  • Any Product having defects or damage related to customer-applied software or interfacing.

  • Any Product having defects or damage resulting from unauthorized modifications or misuse, mishandling, accident, operation outside the normal environmental specifications for the Product, use of the incorrect power supply, modified power supply or improper site operation and maintenance.

  • Any Product to which the serial number has been removed.

  • Any Product that was purchased from an unauthorized seller.

Please note that OEM and special order products manufactured by companies other than Vaddio are excluded from coverage under this limited warranty, and are covered by the applicable manufacturer’s warranty. Additionally, this limited warranty extends only to the original purchaser and is not transferable. Therefore, no transferee is eligible for coverage under this limited warranty.

Product that is within the warranty period will be repaired under the non-warranty terms if:

  • The equipment has been damaged by negligence, accident, act of God, mishandling, used with the incorrect, modified or extended power supply or has not been operated in accordance with the procedures described in the operating and technical instructions.

  • The equipment has been altered or repaired by other than the Manufacturer or an authorized service representative.

  • Adaptations or accessories other than those manufactured or provided by the Manufacturer have been made or attached to the equipment, which in the determination of the Manufacturer, shall have affected the performance, safety or reliability of the equipment; or the equipment’s original serial number has been modified or removed.

REMEDIES: If a claim is made under this limited warranty and, after investigation by Vaddio, proves to be valid, Vaddio will, at its sole option, repair or replace the defective Product free of charge, including parts and labor. Vaddio manufactures its hardware Products from parts and components that are new or equivalent to new in accordance with industry standard practices.

WARRANTY SERVICE: Any Vaddio Product believed to be defective as covered by this limited warranty may not be returned for warranty service without prior authorization from Vaddio. Purchasers who wish to make a warranty claim based upon a manufacturing defect should return the Product to the Vaddio authorized seller from which the Product was purchased within the Warranty Period for warranty service assistance.

In the event that you are unable to return the Product to the Vaddio authorized seller from which the Product was purchased, please contact Vaddio Technical Support at 1-800-572-2011 to obtain a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number. Please be prepared to provide the technician with the following information:

  • Date and location of Product purchase

  • Product serial number

  • Detailed description of any claimed failure or defect

  • A dated proof of purchase from the Vaddio authorized seller from which the Product was purchased to verify warranty eligibility

Please note that Vaddio will not pay for inbound shipping transportation or insurance charges or accept any responsibility for laws and ordinances from inbound transit. Vaddio will pay for outbound shipping, transportation, and insurance charges for all items under warranty but will not assume responsibility for loss and/or damage by the outbound freight carrier. If the return shipment appears damaged, retain the original boxes and packing material for inspection by the carrier. Contact your carrier immediately.

Vaddio Non-Warranty Repairs

Return Material Authorization (RMA) number: Before returning a product for repair or replacement request an RMA from Vaddio’s technical support. Provide the technician with a return phone number, e-mail address, shipping address, product serial numbers and original purchase order number. Describe the reason for repairs or returns as well as the date of purchase. See the General RMA Terms and Procedures section for more information. RMAs are valid for 30 days and will be issued to Vaddio dealers only. End users must return products through Vaddio dealers. Include the assigned RMA number in all correspondence with Vaddio. Write the assigned RMA number clearly on the shipping label of the box when returning the product. All products returned for credit are subject to a restocking charge without exception. Special order products are not returnable.

Vaddio Customer Service: If the product is out of warranty, Vaddio will test then repair the product or products. The cost of parts and labor charge will be estimated by a technician and confirmed by the customer prior to repair. All components must be returned for testing as a complete unit. Vaddio will not accept responsibility for shipment after it has left the premises.

Vaddio Technical Support: Vaddio technicians will determine and discuss with the customer the criteria for repair costs and/or replacement. Products Not Under Warranty: Payment arrangements are required before outbound shipment for all out of warranty products.

Non-Warranty Repair Terms: Vaddio will repair any non-obsolete product that does not meet the terms of the warranty. Non-warranty repair terms are as follows:

  • The customer is responsible for, and agrees to pay, all parts and labor costs associated with the repair. Standard non-warranty repair charges are outlined below.

  • Customers must provide payment method and one of the following, prior to receiving an RMA:

  • Hard copy of a PO, for dealers with Net 30 terms and in good standing with Vaddio.

  • Valid credit card number - Credit card will be charged upon shipping repaired product back to customer.

  • Request for COD: Customers will be notified of COD charges prior to shipping repaired unit.

  • Customer is responsible for all shipping charges both to and from Vaddio, and may use their own carrier.

  • Customers will receive a courtesy call notifying them of total repair charges prior to return shipping.

Non-Warranty Repair Charges: Total repair charges (per unit) for a non-warranty repair consist of the following:

  • Cost of any replacement parts needed to repair the defect.

  • Labor costs billed per hour after minimum charges/time.

  • Labor charges include troubleshooting and repair time only.

  • Burn-in time and final test time is not included in the labor charges.

  • Labor time is rounded to the nearest quarter hour.

  • Labor charges are billed at the prevailing rate for the category of equipment repaired, after minimum charges/time. For prevailing labor rates, please contact Vaddio technical support.

  • All shipping and handling costs are the responsibility of the customer for non-warranty repairs.

Minimum Labor Charges: All non-warranty repairs are subject to a minimum evaluation/repair labor charge even if there is no problem found. Please contact Vaddio technical support for the current applicable rate.

Repair Charge Estimates: Estimates on repair charges for a specific problem will not be given before an RMA is issued and the actual product has been evaluated by a Vaddio technician. Repair estimates will be given after the repair department receives and evaluates the unit.

  • Customers requesting an estimate on repair charges must do so up front when they call in for an RMA. The RMA team will call or email with the estimate after evaluating the unit and before proceeding with the repair.

  • Any product evaluated for a repair estimate is still subject to the minimum labor charges even if the customer decides not to proceed with the repair.

  • Vaddio does not guarantee estimates given on repair charges. Actual repair costs may exceed the estimate.

  • Customer is responsible for actual repair charges, regardless of estimate.

Repair Policy Notes:

  • Duration of Repair: Products are repaired on a first come, first serve basis. The turn-around time of a particular repair is dependent upon circumstances such as product type, the nature of the problem and current repair volumes. Requests for expedited repair service will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

  • Repair Warranty: Vaddio guarantees all of its repair work, performed on non-warranty items, for 90 days from the day the repaired product is shipped back to the customer. If the original problem described was not resolved or reoccurs within the 90-day period, Vaddio will repair the unit free of labor charges. However additional material charges may apply unless the parts used to affect the repair are again deemed defective.

Vaddio Return Policy

General RMA Terms and Procedures: RMAs are valid for 30 days and will be issued to Vaddio dealers only.

  • End users must return products through Vaddio dealers.

  • Before a defective product can be authorized to send in for repair, it must first go through the troubleshooting process with a member of the Vaddio Technical Support team.

  • Products authorized for repair must have a valid RMA (Return Material Authorization) number.

  • Vaddio RMA Team will issue the RMA number.

  • An RMA number is to be included in all correspondence with Vaddio.

  • The RMA number must appear clearly on the shipping label (not the box) when the product is returned.

  • A packing slip must be included on the inside of the box with the RMA number listed and reason for RMA return.

  • Products received at Vaddio that do not have a valid RMA number clearly marked on the outside of the shipping container may be refused and returned to sender.

  • Boxes showing external damage will be refused and sent back to the sender regardless of the clearly marked RMA number and will remain the responsibility of the sender.

RMA Charges (Restocking): All qualified returns must be made in unopened, original packaging with all original materials.

  • Initial shipments of equipment that are refused upon attempted delivery, for any reason, are subject to restocking charges.

  • The Dealer has up to 60 days from the date of purchase to return Vaddio product for credit for future purchases of Vaddio product only.

  • The Dealer has 61 to 90 days from the date of purchase to return Vaddio product with a 15% restocking fee or $50.00 fee, whichever amount is greater.

  • The Dealer has up to 30 days from the date of purchase to return OEM and other manufacturer’s products with a 15% restocking fee or $50.00 fee, whichever amount is greater.

  • NOTE: Special Order products from other manufacturers (identified in the Vaddio Price Guide as noncancelable, nonreturnable and not refundable) are not eligible for advance replacement from Vaddio.

Advanced Replacement Policies: For Vaddio manufactured products, advance replacement will be provided for up to one (1) year after the initial shipment of products.

  • NOTE: OEM and other manufacturer’s products are excluded from the Vaddio advance replacement policy. Advance replacement will be provided for up to 30 days after initial shipment of OEM products. Thereafter, a return to Vaddio and factory repair is offered during the other manufacturer’s warranty period. Vaddio will determine if the returned product is qualified for the OEM warranty.

  • NOTE: Special Order products from other manufacturers (identified in the Vaddio Price Guide as noncancelable, nonreturnable and not refundable) are not eligible for advance replacement from Vaddio.

Advance Replacement Procedures: The Vaddio Dealer must submit a non-revocable purchase order for advance replacement equipment at normal dealer pricing. Credit shall be issued upon complete product return (including all accessories) for dealers with Net 30 terms. For credit card accounts, charges will be assessed to the credit card for the replacement and credited back upon complete product return.

  • Returns must be made in the original Vaddio packaging with all original materials if at all possible. Vaddio products with missing original materials will be billed to the dealer at dealer price.

  • NOTE: OEM products must be returned in the original packaging with all materials and the RMA number written on the shipping label only and not on the OEM box. If the return is incomplete and/or the OEM box is defaced, the product shall be returned to the dealer and the RMA will not be credited.

  • Equipment returned with “No Trouble Found” after advanced replacement will be assessed a full 15% or $50.00 restocking fee (whichever is greater) for each item and may also be assessed for additional charges to compensate for wear, damages and reconditioning.

  • All returns must be accompanied by RMA # as stated above.

  • All Advanced Replacement products are sent via 2-day service in the continental USA. If the product is requested to be sent via priority or overnight shipping, the Dealer shall pay shipping costs. The dealer can elect to supply their preferred shipping account number.

  • International customers are responsible for all freight charges for equipment returned to Vaddio, including international shipping, taxes and duties, insurance, and all other associated logistic charges.
