Vaddio is now shipping its plenum-rated USB 3.0 Active Optical Cable.

Vaddio’s fully shielded USB-C to USB-A active optical fiber cable supports the full bandwidth of USB 3.0 and can be used to extend products up to 30 meters without additional hardware or external power. Since it is port-powered and does not utilize any repeater hubs or external power supply, the cable is easier to install through conduits.

The cable is rated SuperSpeed and carries up to 5 Gbps allowing for 4K, 30 Hz uncompressed video data transmission.

By being plug and play ready and requiring no drivers, the cable is ideal for most Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) environments. It is compatible with Vaddio HuddleSHOT® and other USB 3.0/3.1 devices, self-powered USB 3.0/3.1 hubs, and devices with external power supplies. It is not compatible with USB 2.0/USB 1.1 devices. 

Its unique fiber optic and copper composite design resists EMI/RFI interference, is CMP plenum-rated, and UL, CE and FCC certified.
