The Legrand | AV booth, 1506 was a must-visit at CEDIA Expo and the co-located Commercial Integrator Expo, Sept. 5-7, in Denver. Here’s a peek of what we brought to the show:
So Many Solutions, So Many Opportunities
A key part of creating an amazing AV experience is having solutions that are flexible and fit together seamlessly — no matter the environment. In our booth, we not only highlighted our best-selling solutions from across our brands — Chief, Da-Lite, Luxul, Middle Atlantic, On-Q, SANUS, and Vaddio — but also zeroed in on integrated solutions designed for the growing opportunities in residential, multi-dwelling unit (MDU) environments, and resimercial.
There were lots of exciting and best-selling solutions to see from our brands:
The display is the epicenter of action, whether at home or the office. At the show was Chief’s new Fit™ Mobile Cart for interactive displays. This sleek, low-profile cart is designed to accommodate interactive flat panel displays ranging from 55” to 86” and up to 175 lbs. Its slim footprint ensures stability, allowing users to interact effortlessly with touchscreens. Chief demonstrated its all-in-one, easy-to-configure Tempo™ Flat Panel In-Wall Mount System, which includes in-wall storage and flat panel mounts that can be purchased and installed to accommodate various construction stages, from rough-in to AV commissioning.
Dramatically transforming spaces where projection is required, Da-Lite showed the new Parallax® Thin screen. Designed specifically for ultrashort throw projectors, this re-engineered thin bezel fixed frame screen features Ambient Light Rejection (ALR) screen surface and offers an alternative to a rigid screen that ships assembled in a large crate. It is available in 16:9 and 21:9 sizes, providing a convenient solution for wider sizes yet shipping in a small, lightweight package standard parcel delivery for added ease and cost-efficiency.
The network has never been stronger with Luxul. Luxul’s managed switch family delivers simple installation and setup. The SW Series includes eight managed switches that enable systems integrators to quickly set up, install, and manage any AVoIP infrastructure, with sufficient PoE+ to power numerous network devices. To meet the growing demand for wireless support, the company’s Luxul Dual-Band Indoor Access Point (AP-3064) was shown. It provides 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 network capabilities, ideal for networks requiring greater device traffic capacity, higher data transfer speeds, and broader coverage with lower latency.
Ensuring every installation has a strong infrastructure, Middle Atlantic showcased its RackLink™ Series of power distribution, management, and backup solutions with the full range of the platform’s remote management and monitoring options. The RackLink-enabled family includes Premium+ PDU, Select Series PDU, and NEXSYS™ AV power distribution and backup platform. Middle Atlantic’s RackLink™ Cloud remote management and monitoring option was highlighted as part of the RackLink™ ecosystem. With RackLink Cloud, installers can reduce truck rolls, eliminate on-site visits for routine tasks, optimize workforce allocation, and achieve significant cost savings. Attendees were also able to check out Middle Atlantic’s tried-and-true BGR Series, the No. 1 rack enclosure that offers higher weight capacity, more usable rackspace, and ample features to solve common challenges and accelerate integration.
Keep installations clean, well-managed, and reliable with On-Q’s line of plastic enclosures. On-Q’s all-new Plastic 15” Enclosure with Deep Trim and Hinged Cover was a highlight at the show. Originally designed at the request of the MDU market, this versatile enclosure is ideal for a multitude of environments. The extra-deep design neatly manages networking solutions with larger components like ISP modems, routers, and switches. Its streamlined one-piece trim ring simplifies installation, while Wi-Fi transparent material ensures strong connectivity by allowing Wi-Fi signals to pass through. The unit also includes multiple knockouts for keystones, cable management, and single gang old work electrical boxes.
For TV mounts, SANUS showcased its brand-new Advanced Full-Motion 4D® + SHIFT™ mount, the VLF828-B2. Designed for 42"-90" TVs, this mount introduces cutting-edge technology which provides a total of up to 8 inches of post-installation vertical height adjustment. This SHIFT feature allows you to raise or lower the TV during installation for precision placement or at any later time when making system or environment changes such as adding a soundbar or making updates to decor. This feature can be especially beneficial, and a significant time saver, for installers when facing pre-existing wall challenges such as outlet placement, allowing the installer to raise or lower the wall plate to avoid the obstruction, and then raise or lower the TV in response to achieve preferred positioning on the wall.
Product Award for Sanus:
- Residential Systems CEDIA Best of Show 2024... Sanus VLF828-B2 Advanced Full-Motion + Shift
For home offices and small businesses seeking a video conferencing upgrade, Vaddio showcased the new Vaddio Venture® VideoBAR. The all-in-one video conferencing system provides lifelike audio and video quality with its UHD 8.51-megapixel 1/2.5-type CMOS image sensor, a 110° wide-angle horizontal field of view, 5x digital zoom, six-element beamforming microphone array, and high-fidelity speaker system with built-in DSP.
